Mr A's is very much a no-frills diner, but does have some stand-out dishes. Their souvlaki (both chicken and pork) are pretty good and they give generous portions- the same goes with their burgers and sandwiches.
Long story short, it's a nice enough place that serves pretty good food. -

Awesome souvlaki dinner with great tzatziki! Great local spot in Oshawa.
Definitely recommend. -

Went in for a quick breakfast and I should have went to the Eggsmart down the street (that was my original plan) I ordered the pemeal breakfast which came with three eggs, three pieces of pemeal bacon, home fries and toast. The bacon was disgusting! Thick and rubbery! I was very disappointed since the bacon was the reason I chose that meal in the first place. Eggs were fine. Toast was fine. Price was decent for the quality of the meal. Meal comes with juice or coffee so don't order a drink!

My wife and I have tried this place a few times after not having been here since I was a kid and honestly we were not impressed at all. The food was very mediocre, the prices are above average. Service was fairly slow. All things considered I would not recommend eating at this restaurant. I had a burger and fries, I can't remember what my wife ordered, but she definitely didn't want to return and even called to complain and they just didn't care and offered no form of remediation to her issue at all.

Got the poutine on the recommendation of a friend, I'm not sure how long ago it's been since he's ordered here but it tasted like they used frozen fries, they weren't even cooked all the way through and the food wasn't even warm. The only good thing about it was the gravy was half decent and they used real cheese curds but that being said it still was not easy to eat. I didn't want to insult them by not eating any of my food but honestly what I should have done was just turn around and walk out, total waste of money. On top of that I gave the waitress a 5 dollar tip which was almost the price of the food itself for basically doing nothing and she didn't even so much as say thank you, she was just like "well, see you around okay". Do yourself a favor and don't eat here. Very disappointed.
